NEW YORK -- The Orlando Dragons drafted James Hudson #1 overall in the 2026 draft. The 6' 2" DE fits the team's needs perfectly. Said Dragons general manager: "It's up to us to develop him and get good players around him."
"The great thing about the game of football is, it's a team game," Hudson said on a conference call. "I'm just going to be one piece of the puzzle."
Moore and Nox Mock DraftPick 1: West Texas Wranglers Larry Moore: Erik O'Donnell - DE He has sufficient strength to not get bulllied on run plays. Has the speed to keep contain, and even chase down run plays going the opposite direction. Hard not to love. Reliable tackler. Fill the need with a quality player. Best case scenario here.
Jim Nox: Ernest Lowe - WR Fine catching ability, often comes down with the ball even when pressured. Straight line speed is through the roof. You do not want to let him run free. Great balance. Runs good routes, and that is really something coaches are looking for in kids. This guy is available. This guy fills a need. They have to take him. It makes so much sense.
Pick 2: Orlando Dragons Larry Moore: Kenneth Kang - DE His strength is a good platform for him, surely a reason teams like him this high. Great first step. Defensive Ends with this speed tend to go high. The obvious reason is that teams love to get this kind of immediate pressure off the edge. Goes nice and low on tackles. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.
Jim Nox: Alan Hedrick - DT A real leader! His tape shows how strong he is. Flattening opponents with his bull rush. I do not see this changing even at the pro level. Good jump off the line. Enough speed to be unpredictable in his passrushing moves. He is alert and makes smart decisions to developments in the play. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.
Pick 3: Colorado Mustangs Larry Moore: Alan Hedrick - DT Every team values leadership, someone to lead by example, this is the guy. Imagine having that kind of strength consistently blowing through the middle. I can, scouts can, and coaches can. With this kind of physique, many teams would love to have him. Has never been known for his speed. But he is pretty fast, and definitely fast enough to harass Quarterbacks up the middle. A cerebral player. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.
Jim Nox: Donald Richards - T Coaches love the leadership skills in this kid. Knows what it takes to achieve success at any level. The ultimate team player. With the amount this youngster can already benchpres, he will only ever have to focus on improving technique. This is a guy who is already a pretty good blocker in the run game. His pass blocking skills is something teams like about him. Fits the bill, great quality pick, and fills a soft spot on the roster. They should have no qualms here, run to the podium and get your man.
Pick 4: Georgia Gearheads Larry Moore: Chris Delvalle - G Here is a kid who no one doubts will put in the work. The guy has gets along with everyone. In college, he routinely threw defenders off their feet when blocking them. Watch the tape, this kind is strong. In the run game he blocks well, shows tenacity and opens lanes. This will benefit the team. Coaches salivate over his pass blocking skills. Make no mistake, they are elite already and protecting the QB is the most critical part of playing offense. He can do what they want. He will deliver results early. He fits a need. End of story.
Jim Nox: Erik O'Donnell - DE Would occasionally flatten offensive linemen in college. Even in the pros, opponents better not try to block him with a Tight End or Running Back. You better have some athletic offensive linemen if you hope to block this kid. Lightning fast first step and amazing closing speed. he will be a terror for Quarterbacks for years to come. Reliably takes down ball carrier when he gets his hands on him. They will be happy to get him, they could use an upgrade at the position, and he certainly fits the bill. A franchise caliber player. Just what they have been looking for.
Pick 5: New Jersey Bayhawks Larry Moore: Ernest Lowe - WR His college tape shows him catching the ball well. Speed, speed speed! Did I mention Speed? Makes defenders miss. Maintains his balance after the catch. Will change direction to avoid tacklers. They will be running to the podium for this one.
Jim Nox: Nicolas Bland - WR When you watch him you rarely see him drop the ball. If you miss the tackle, you will not catch this kid. Slippery. That is what he is. Will work well in traffic. Will occasionally turn short gains into big plays. Solid talent that fits their needs. Really that is all there is to it. Perfect situation. Take the money and run.
Pick 6: London Bulldogs Larry Moore: Andrew Burton - QB Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. He plays well with others. He understands there is a reason for each assignment on every play. Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. If a pass goes incomplete, more often that not, it is the receiver who did not catch it. His college teammates still tell stories about how hard he throws. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.
Jim Nox: Clarence Fielder - DT This guy is hard to move. In college, he would routinely just throw blockers on the ground on his way to the Quarterback. People always rave about speed. This young man has more than enough speed for the position. You do not need to run tack to get sacks. Solid technique on tackles. Fill a need, get a quality player, everyone wins! He will fit right in with the pros.
Pick 7: Washington Freebirds Larry Moore: Donald Richards - T This is a player who takes the lead. This kid is not afraid to work hard. This kid breeds synergy, teams play better when he is on the field. Amazing strength given his young age. This kid can bench press a minibus. Nice blocking skills on run plays. He will contribute to the running game. Protects the QB well on pass plays. You can never have enough good pass blockers. They gotta be happy to get this guy. Such a talent and he fits their needs. I would imagine the war room is celebrating when they make this pick.
Jim Nox: Willie Jack - T A leader on the field and in the locker room. Football is a team sport, and he knows it. Respected for his good behavior on the field. Good strength gives him a foundation to build on. In the run game he blocks well, shows tenacity and opens lanes. This will benefit the team. He pass blocks really well. Might not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.
Pick 8: Costa Rica Howlers Larry Moore: Dale Miller - G This kid loves the weight room, and has developed nice strength for being this early in his career. He comes of the line with power and leverage on run plays. This is something that scouts notice. This young man is already an excellent pass blocker. Ability to protect the QB that certainly draws the attention of coaches. He fills a need for them. They will be happy to get him.
Jim Nox: Chris Delvalle - G His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. Liked by coaches and teammates. He will have a legit shot at winning bets arm wrestling the veterans. The kind of strength this kid has earns a lot of respect in a locker room. He comes of the line with power and leverage on run plays. This is something that scouts notice. Superb when pass blocking. Maintains his balance, turns the defender away, and buys time for the quarterback. They are loving this about him. They will be running to the podium for this one.
Pick 9: Las Vegas Scorpions Larry Moore: Tim Christensen - CB Teammates love him. All he cares about is the team. He helps everyone succeed. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. The guy has gets along with everyone. Ran a great forty. Solid tackler. They gotta be happy to get this guy. Such a talent and he fits their needs. I would imagine the war room is celebrating when they make this pick.
Jim Nox: Wendell Nagle - LB Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. The guy has gets along with everyone. Strength is definitely one of his premier qualities. It will serve him well. A kid who is faster than most linebackers. Really a hybrid kind of guy. Coming of the edge with that speed will give blockers fits. His college teammates all point to how smart he is. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.
Pick 10: Wisconsin Warhawks Larry Moore: Robert Phelps - QB Already making good throws, and that is even with no seasons of pro training. Nice arm, will be even better in a couple of seasons. Rock solid player is just what they need. A great fit here, both in terms of need and quality.
Jim Nox: Kenneth Kang - DE Would occasionally flatten offensive linemen in college. Even in the pros, opponents better not try to block him with a Tight End or Running Back. You better have some athletic offensive linemen if you hope to block this kid. Lightning fast first step and amazing closing speed. he will be a terror for Quarterbacks for years to come. Finishes tackles well. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.
